12 Ton President Obama Statue Travels To USA Cities
Obama Traveling TourBlack Hills - South Dakota // Plans are currently being developed for the delivery and tour of a 20 foot 12 ton President Barack Obama statue through 10 states and 40 cities. The President Obama statue will come to rest in the Black Hills of South Dakota and will travel through much of the middle United States.
The traveling exhibit will feature materials which show the steps taken to create the presidential statue and the Presidents Park its final resting place. David Adickes, artist and creator of some of the largest presidential statues in the world will soon be completing the President Barack Obama statue at which time it will start its journey north from Texas stopping at several planned stops at communities and towns along the way.
The traveling Obama statue tour will include over $85,000 in Gifts and Giveaways including David Adickes Autographed items, park passes and a Grand Prize of a Limited Release live-sized President Obama statue.
At each stop, an encapsulated piece of the President Obama Statue will be gifted to a lucky guest. Artist David Adickes, a world renowned sculptor began work on a model of president-elect Barack Obama’s head in early March. The multi-talented artist has filled two presidents’ parks with a complete set of 43 presidential heads over the past 50 years. His work is displayed in ten art galleries in the United Sates and his work on the parks has gotten a lot of attention from various publications. Adickes’ presidents’ parks are said to have been inspired by Mount Rushmore. One of the parks is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The busts, made of concrete and steel, stand 20 feet tall and weigh over 7,000 pounds. A July 4th 2009 unveiling is planned.
David Adickes, creator of such notable roadside works as the 60-foot-tall Stephen F Austin statue, 67-ft tall Sam Houston, and the giant alabaster heads of the Presidents in President’s Park, was featured recently in a page one story in the Wall Street Journal and have also been featured on the cover of Life magazines last print edition.
